In general when placing branching corals how much space do you leave between them

I started out at about 8 inches....then as I grew more and more impatient I stuck a few in between.

It has worked out pretty good though because I did it over a couple of years and was able to figure out the fast growers.

I have some at 4 inches some at 6 inches and some at 8 inches.


Then stuff like orange caps you will want to leave 12-16 inches all the way around. I did this and it's starting to pay off finally.

if you don't need a crowbar to squeeze them in they're too far apart :)

actuall i tried to go about 3- 4" - not really enough in the long run but thats why they make bone cutters

i'll start at 6-8" and fill in where need as they grow
