Monti Cap is an Algae magnet!!

I have several varieties of Montipora Cap. growing in the stream of the returns. The coral grows, but so does hair algae/Byropsis. It's the only place in the tank I have this problem. I weekly pull a hand full of algae off the Caps. The water parameters look good.
Has anyone else experience this algae/Montipora problem?? Thanks. R

The algea doesn't grow on the Monti does it? Just inthe same area?

algae will only grow if the monti plate is dead, if it still has color-skin on it it is healty enough to fight off algae...
