The mat on those look thick,like xenia.But the polyps look almost like cloves. Can you get better pictures ?

it does look like a clove polyp! it's got a blue tint to in now that it's in my tank?.

when I first got it... pic is with flash though and the above is with the tank lights on although it is bluer now..

It might be anthillia ,....but you should look up Efflatunaria(sp) it resembles Cespitularia and is in the Xeniidae family it might be that .

I cant find Efflatunaria pictures..Athillia..mabie..I have never seen cloves with a mat like that+the short polyps..Anyone have pictures of a colony like this..?

this might be better because there is all diffenrt kinds of Xeniidae's with pic's all labeled as what they are.

i found the best pic. i could find of what I believe to be Efflatounaria . It resembles Cespitualria but it is different. I hope you can see what i mean in the pic .
