so i got this orange digitata from a friend and the tips are bleached, soo what should i do. leave it as is and hope it gets better, or will these bleached tips spread to the rest of the coral? should i take off the parts that bleached. any suggestions. http://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c237/thiago_caetano/downsized_0917091329.jpg

It's hard to tell from the pic if it's bleached or just new growth. The tips on mine will turn white from time to time when going through a growth spurt.

Check your params, keep an eye on it and if the white part starts spreading down the branch then you'll need to figure out the cause and take action.

that's new growth... a good thing. Digitata should always look like that.

Looks like some new growth, keep an eye on it and if algae starts growing or the white is spreading I would give it a little trim.

I only worry when mine don't look like that.

 a good thing as mentioned. However, you can temporarily ignore the "should always look like that" comment for now. The tips will likely turn into the same orange color shortly and stop growing while the coral encrusts. You should see a base starting where you glued it in a week or so, depending on how happy it is.

The tips could start growing anywhere from a couple of weeks to a couple of months depending on how big of a base the coral wants to make. SPS are kind of goofy like that. I received two somewhat similar millie frags at the same time. One, in less than a week, started growing at the tips and has been tabling ever since. It however has a very small encrusted base. The other decided to grow a maaaaasive base (wrapping all the way around the 3" rubble rock it's on) and now almost a year later finally has growth tips starting.
