Death of a skunk?

What is the lifespan on these shrimp? I came after a week vacation to find the shell of my skunk shrimp in the middle of my frogspawn, just above the mouth. Cant find the shrimp so I guess somehow the frogspawn got it. I really dont know what happened to it. There are no predatory fish in the tank, or at least nothing that has ever bothered the shrimp in the 8months that I had him.

I had one for 3+ years, he is still alive in another person's tank.

Your shrimp may have molted. They're very shy at first because their shells take a little while to harden.

It sounds like your's might have molted because my open brain coral would eat the molt all the time. My last skunk cleaner shrimp lasted 2+ years, but he seemed pretty grown when I got him.

well I found him in a very small spot, unusual for him....sort of lost him in 125g of water. whew!
