Im going to store my back up battery for a little while. Would it be best to discharge it?

Actually, a good chunk of batteries should not be stored discharged, and it can actually damage them.

However, I'm not positive on the ones that IceCap uses in their backup unit (which is probably where EcoTech is going to send you). If they're a standard dry cell, most often those should be stored with a partial charge I believe.

But, I'd wait on the official answer ;)

The manual that I have with my IceCap EcoTech backup battery says that if it is stored to be sure to store it with as full of a charge as possible.

so maybe it would be best if I kept it plugged in?

I'm not sure on this one, it's probably best asked directly to IceCap: service@icecapinc.com
