Ok, So I have a new obsession with open brains, I love the rose brain I have and I'm looking to purchase another. A local LFS has 2 trachy's in, much like http://www.liveaquaria.com/diversden/ItemDisplay.cfm?c=2733+8&ddid=71518.

I'm looking to pick up one or the other, but my question is, is there any special care for them besides placing them ont he subtrate as well as 2x weekly feedings? I've done my reading up on them, and being that I've had much success with my other open brain, I'd imagine my system would be able to house a like. Any experiences with trachy's? Much help is appreciated.

Thanks

The link you posted isn't working...

Trachys are very easy to maintain. I've had a couple (most recent being my avatar) and besides feeding the occasional snack, mine thrives by means of filter feeding. Go ahead and get that second one, enjoy! :)

I feed my Red and Green Trachyphyllia once a month. I've had it for a year and love it so much that I added a 2nd to my 24 gallon Aquapod a few weeks ago. Just keep them on the substrate and feed once or twice a month. Two feedings per week is overkill.

After lights out.
