I have had this guy for over a year- it keeps getting bigger & bigger, & bigger . . . Thats fine with me, but its over 26" long & about 17" in diameter. Seems as if it is real happy with VHO lighting & being fed 2X's a week.

Awesome anemone. Can you post some more info, e.g. what temp lighting, feeding habit, etc.?

wind-
when I received the anem, it was the size of a grapefruit. I am very tempted to split it, however Im too much of a chicken to actually do it.

tyd-
Temp: the tank is 82/83

Lighting: 800 watts. URI bulbs, old-school magnetic ballasts

Diet: mainly consists of any fresh fish scraps (I do a lot of fishing & save stuff to feed the anems)

Water parameters: I have not tested the water in any of my tanks for eight years now. I do however do a 40% water change every 1.5 months. I use natural sea water that I collect myself.

Additives: I use all the "usual" additives in my reefs. No specific dosage schedule.

Thanks for the compliments guys. :)

Its growing so much because you are feeding it so much. I feed my tank 3+ times a day, and my two nems once every 8 to 10 days.
