Anyone tried 12v Controlable Korolia with MaxiJet impeller mod?

So I am seting up my 250 again and am seriously thinking of using Korolia K4's for the main water flow. I really like the idea of the controllable 12v model because it can be controlled and it offers battery backup.

Question:
Has anyone tried the maxijet impeller mod for increased flow on the 12v version as yet?

I would really like to know if it works as well on the 12v as people have been saying it does on the 110v version.
