Hello,
I want to re-plumb my tank and would like some pointers on how to do it.
I have a 58 gallon Oceanic, center overflow, and 20 gal sump.
Here is a crappy diagram I drew in paint for you to get an idea of my setup.

OK, so from the Rio 2100 (Return) it goes to some kind of "PH stabilizer" tube, which I'd like to eliminate, then goes from their to the bottom of the tank to be pumped back to the display.
I'd like to remove the plastic tubing from the pump and remove everything, including the stabilizer.
Would you do hard pvc between the return pump and connection to the display output, with a true union in between.
One problem is there is a barb fitting, so would I need to remove that to go to pvc, or is there some sort of adapter I could use?
4' head pressure I would guess. Would the 2100 now be too much flow? Would there be another pump more energy efficient that I could use?
I'll post pics tonight.
Thanks in advance,
Cody
