Pipefish ID

Bought this at the LFS. Labelled an Australian Pipefish. Stays on the bottom, not shy (stays out in the open on the sand), generally moves along slowly but can swim fast when he wants to.

It is likely what is called a "dragon-face" pipefish, which is a Corythoichthys spp., usually C. intestinalis or C. haematopterus.

I don't think its a dragonface because it has a rounded fin on the tail and not the pointed tail.

i think you're confusing a DF pipe with an alligator pipe. your fish is definitely a DF.
