How can you tell the differance between a male and a femal? I'm talking about the red ones.

The male will have a much longer first dorsal fin. Even if it's not held erect, you can tell because it will lay back alongside the second dorsal. The female's is much smaller and kind of shaped like a duck's foot when held erect. Make sure you're prepared for the feeding regimen if you're going to try a scooter. Good luck.
