acan acting funny :(

well my acan has been closed up for the past few days, about 4. I had fragged it, and the fragging didnt go so well, since the acan was a little thick, and the cutoff wheel was waay small. the frags broke up, but it didnt really affect the colony. the colony was puffy for a few days after the fragging, but just one day hermits crabs were walking all over it, and it was all closed up. for the next few days it stayed closed, and i have banished all hermits to the fuge! i just noticed a one head that had skeleton showing, and like two or three heads that look like the mouths have decayed. the full colony is still covered in tissue.
is the colony doomed? or will it come too? can a colony be dead and still have tissue?

You mag could be higher 1350-1450. Might have stressed it out a bit during the fragging process. Did you use an exact to cut the flesh or did you just tear the frag off the mother colony after making the cut in the skeleton?

A colony cannot be dead and still have tissue. If a few heads are decaying, I would definitely do an TMPCC dip followed by treating your tank with vit-c. Could have stressed it out and made it susceptible to a bacterial infection.
