MACNA raffle tank 300gal---24hrs. later

Hey everyone, just spent the day helping my friend Jason Fox set up the 300 gallon tank from the MACNA raffle this past weekend. We had to move a 200 gallon tank out of the way for the 300 to take its place(the tank was completely full when we did it, we used big floor jacks to move it little by little). Jason built the stand for the 200 and it held through being moved like that. It would have been a big mess and we would have had to move much quicker to save everything, if it did not, but thankfully it worked. We then brought the tank and stand down in his basement with the help of 3 other guys. After we ate we started to pull water from the 200 and put it in the 300, we transfered all the fish and corals in about and hour or so. We couldn't fill it all the way yet, Jason had to go to Lowes for some pieces to complete the drain portion of the pumbing(he is using all the bulkhead holes for drains, so all 4 will connect to one big pipe, then go to the sump). I had to go home before we were finished, but he should have gotten it done by the time I got home. I am sure it is running all out by now. That is it for now, I am very tired from the all the fun over the weekend and then doing this move and setup today, going to bed soon. Hopefully Jason will log in and post some info about the system for everyone sometime soon(he is not a big computer forum guy, he can't be, he spends all his time caring for all of his stuff in all the different tanks, LOL). lol i am just wondering how you got it down to miami? when you won the raffle you had this puzzled look on your face and they asked you where you lived. and you said miami and everyone laughed ha. must of been fun getting that down there. you have an awesome setup though!

Emily, yes he did offer it to me but I have no use for it for at least a year and no where to store it, so I told him to sell it if he can, plus I think I like the one that he got, I like the dimensions better.

Fishkid, the guy that won it(Julio) couldn't take it with him on the plane and no time to arrange for shipment on a Sunday and he had to make his plane. I don't know what they worked out for payment. Jason was able to take it because we had 3 vans to take it all home, along with all of the equipment for the frag tank at the show. All three vans were pretty full of stuff. I went down yesterday and we set most of it up before I had to leave. I will have to call him in a little while to make sure all is well with the new tank.

Fishkid, he sold it to Jason Fox, I don't know what he ended up paying for it, I didn't ask. The tank did not go to the guy that won it, so it is not in FL, it is in MD, where Jason lives, not Julio(the guy that lives if FL). Hope that clears things a little.
