Never have seen them anywhere before or pics, and don't what they are.

first pic looks like they're purple w/ green centers typically called purple stardust
but the second pic looks like purple with brown/ red centers - no known name

looks like a form of proto paly. as far as a name if you must have one look on http://www.zoaid.com/
i personally have no clue as to what it would be called if it has a name.

Yep, a protopalythoa for sure. Very quick growers, beware :)
What is a proto paly? I have searched zoa id several times and can't find a good match. It's green centered, bluish/ purple outside and had white specals all over it. It grows alittle slow. I got it alittle over a year ago as one polyp and in that time it grew 6 more polyps. I wish it would grow fast it's one of my favorites. My PPE and PD"S grow about twice as fast as this one does.

Get rid of it. Grows fast and it's hard to get off rocks.. Purple palys. I had some, then I had a ton. Sold them off after trying to get them off my rocks
Why? It took a year to grow out 6 polyps from one, and it comes off the rocks very easily. I wish it did grow fast. Like I said I like this polyp better than my PPE's, tubs, nucs, pd's, or any other paly/zoa I have. The one you see is from the 6 that took a year to grow.
