I am planning on making a sump and refugium out of a 10 Leader and I am planning on the setup in the picture below. I am going to use a Mag 1.9 return pump which does 190 gph. My question is what size downtake should I be using to balance the flow between my tank and sump. Going to have a 3/8" return line.

Your return baffle appears to be too tall to function properly

ah, how much shorter should it be than the bubble trap?

In that configuration it should be the same height as the last bubble trap baffle going right to left.

So...what size downtake do I need to get drilled for that return?

Rephrase of previous question:
I am wondering what size downtake hole I should have drilled to maintain a balanced level while using a Mag 1.9 return pump with a 3/8 inch return line.
