I am going for great color and growth.
I purchased a T-5 HO fixture ( Aquatic Life ). It has 4 bulbs in it. 2 blue and 2 white ( 39 watts each) with individual reflectors and 8 blue LED's. I also put a 2 bulb fixture on the tank as well. Same bulbs ( both 39 watts each.)
That's a total of 234 watts. 5.85 watts per gallon
Is this enough light?
I need some help with filtration big time!
I have an overflow and a wet/dry filter. I threw out the bio-balls as I have heard they aren't good to use but now I have all of this empty space down there. The water level seems a little low to make a refugium out of it but maybe I am wrong. I would like to get a great skimmer and refugium to help with my 40lbs of live sand and 40 lbs. of live rock.
Please help.
