Russ,

I just recently got one your premium RO/DI units. I will probably only run it once every two weeks. Do I just leave water sit in the unit or should it be drained/cleaned after use?

You can leave the water in the system between uses, BUT, you should use the system at least once per week.

Thanks Russ, I'm assuming all that is needed is to run enough water through it to get the "old" stuff out?

At a minimum, I'd let it go long a minute or two past the end of the tds creep water, if that makes sense to you.

I have had water sitting in mine for like 3 weeks and now when i run it it has a musky smell to it. What could it be?

build up of bacteria on the portion of the system not exposed to chlorinated water.

You should run your system at least once a week.
