So first time posting here, I have been doing some research but I would like some advice. I have resently purchased a 50 gallon aquarium thats 36"X18"X18". With it being 18" wide will a T5 with 4 bulbs be enough for SPS? I know MH are the best but I just can't afford that at the moment. Any advice for a reasonable priced lighting unit would be great. Im not looking to start with SPS but the option would be nice for in the future.

Glad to see you This is a good place to start! (http://www.reefcentral.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=1031074)

4 T5HO's should let you grow anything you want. I would suggest looking at the Nova Extreme Pro. has 6 bulbs good unit.
