Red Bug Question

i was wondering if red bugs could survive without any corals to host? for example, adding live rock to a new tank? can you transfer the bugs by adding live rock to a new cycling tank?

RB's need acro's to live. If the rock is acro fro a few weeks it should be fine. You could always cook the rock for a few week to be safe, but I wouldn't be too concerned.
