Hi

I am running Zeovit, on my tank, and in this method its realy important that kalium is keep at around 400.

Mine is low though, and i need to dose it, i find the products on the market is a bit expensive, and they cant be that special, so i googled a bit, and from what i can tell, i should be able to mix:

Potassium Chloride with Potassium Sulfate, and use that to raise my K+ level. More important, this is really cheap. So any thoughts ?

would this work?
are there something out there where both chloride and sulfate are mixed from the start, that can be used?

That is fine to use and is what most Calcium and Magnesium sup's are based on, i.e., Calcium chloride and Magnesium sulfate.

should it just be mixed 1/1 ?

If you want a perfectly balanced ratio, it is probably close to 8:1 (more chloride) and for a potassium supplement, just the chloride alone is likely fine.

FWIW, I'd be wary of potassium test kits results as I'm not yet convinced they are accurate. :)

StarF,

In my experience the Fauna Marin kit is *much* better.
