Even with the lights out one of our tank citizens let the new Powder Brown Tang know that they are boss and nipped it's tail. We're leaving the lights out for another 24 hours so that everyone can figure out how to live with the new addition.

However, we're wondering how long it will take for that chunk to grow back?

We're hoping fins are like fingernails and that it won't take too long.

Thanks,
Chris

P.S. We think it was either the Blue Spotted Watchmen Goby or one of the two Tomato Clowns. Can't see the Mandarin or the Foxface doing it...but you never know.

Whenever a piece of my sailfin tang's fin gets taken off it usually heals up in 1 day. On my butterflies though, it takes about a week. It just depends on how much you feed, how bad the wound is, and the species of fish.
