Blue Carpet Anemone

Picked up this bad boy Sunday afternoon up in Sacramento. Had a wonderful time acclimating it and getting it out of the bag into the tank. When he's fully extended the diameter is about 28 inches. So far so good as he's eaten some silversides and made nice with the clown. I'll try to get better pics later.

Lovely mate - just make sure the pieces you feed him aren't too big. I have a very similar one and it much prefers small regular meals :p
Please look after him as best you can mate !

Wow!! Very nice how big is your tank? Its gotta be huge if the anemone is 28in

My tank is a 72G bowfront. It's pretty empty at the moment so the carpet has plenty of room to find a spot and get situated. The second photo doesn't show it's true size. It's another 10 inches or so larger when fully spread out. Quite impressive! I'll try to take a shot if I can catch it at it's widest.

S.giganteas usually max out at about 20-22". Impressive seeing one at 28"
