Exactly as the title says, is this too much flow in a 46g? Right now it's fish only, sort of. I have a red mushroom colony that hitchiked on the rocks sitting at the bottom. I'm sort of concerned that the current is too strong for my 2 green chromis, cleaner shrimp, and ocellaris in there right now for them to be comfortable.

Opinions?

40x flow would be 1840. You should be fine.

I'm at least 1300gph in my 40 breeder and Im going to add a koralia 1 just for a few
weak areas that I don't care for.

Alright, good to know. It just seemed that my fish seemed to want to hide a lot more once I plugged the second one in. Then they all came out to play as soon as I took it away haha.

Then you have the flow direction I. The wrong area. Try turning one of the koralias ro a wall and let it bounce off.

Try lots of directions. I played with mine for over a 2 week period before I was happy with my corals iverts sand and fish.

IMO it'll be hard to adjust them for the right flow. I have a 40B which is actually 50 gal and I run two K2 and one K3 and I have a hard time because the K3 pushes soo much. I did have three k 2s and it was just about right.

DOTZ -

I have a 40 breeder and honestly never realized it is a 50 gallon tank.

Why are they called a 40 then?

That's cool - you made my day, I have a bigger tank then I realized!

Yeah, I'm running into the problem where if I point them downward at all they start to move the sand around. I'm thinking of running 2 K2's instead.
