just moved in to a new house that has a water softner. I was just wondering if i should hook up my ro/di before or after the softner.

I have mine after.

EDIT - Soft water is the preferred hook up, resulting in longer membrane life and reduces the load on the DI media. iirc;)

After. Your RO filters/membranes will last longer. R

You have to put it after otherwise you won't have di water. Softeners add sodium in exchange for calcium and magnesium. With DI feed, a softener will give up its sodium and other ions.
