Is it necessary to add both Mgso4 and MgCl to raise the Magnesium level when you are using the two part Ca & Alk method. thank you, Dom:twitch:

No you do not have to but from a chemical point it is best to try and keep the sulfate and chloride at proportional levels.

Yes, thanks, i will do that I believe the correct proportion is MgCl2 5 cups
MgSo4 3 cups

Yes that is correct if you are also using a 2-part calcium sup
