Ok. Since I havn't slep't in about 48 hours now I believe that the "Alpha state" part of my brain has come up with the most ingenius way to get those skimmers to skim like they've never skimmed before.
1 part Palmolive 1 part reef tank.

AND............if you put your hand in it.
A woman named Mage from the 70's will sneek up on you & say

You could get a similar effect by pluming in a 4000 PSI pressure washer with a rosette-cutter tip sprayed directly into your tank. No need for a separate reaction chamber, improves water flow, removes all algae (including corraline) and oxygenates well. Probably also good at removing ich from tangs and AEFW from acros.

omg. that is a wonderful idea there. no need for an external skimmer. you can purchase a 4k psi presure washer cheaper than a descent skimmer as well.
would you put the pressure washer on the closed loop configuration side on the tank or the open loop side?

the closed loop motor that I'm going to be attaching to this 180 build I'm doing, I believe is a 3500 GPH
. I've got some loc-line that is 3/4" I wonder if i neck that down to 1/4" how much pressure it would produce.
