About 3 weeks ago I decided to set up a hospital tank, so I filled my 10 gallon with tank water and put in a live branch that I was ridding out of my DT. However, the fish seemed to be doing better, so I just left the hospital tank sitting there with no heater, no filtration or water movement. There are sponges still growing on the live branch. Is there a possibility that if I have no ammonia, I can still use most of that water, add some new SW from the DT, put on a filter and a heater, and use it for a hospital tank? I need a hospital tank to treat a clown for an internal parasite, but other than that branch, I have no biological filtration that I can use.

Thank you!

I see no reason why this would be bad. Go for it.
