I´m planning to buy one in my next trip to US (I´m from Brazil)

I need to know what´s the box size and if it´s safe to take out of the box and put inside the skimmer the pumps, manual and other parts... and drop it in my luggage.

The box is rather large, but I don't think it is safe to take it out of the box or much smaller outside the box. There is about 1" of foam on top and bottom and 4" on each side of empty space that is packed with the pumps, tubes, etc. The box measures 30.5" by 20" by 18"

Thanks... so it´ll be my second luggage... hehehe.

As my baby just was born... i think I´ll fuel the inside of the Skimmer with children clothes....

By the way...í´m very happy with my 9440... but for my 500GAL... I tho expect to have a 9460 burning out 150% of the proteins....
