:twitch:Ive been doing this for a while but ive been doing it the hard way I would suppose Its starting to get old having to turn on my water valve everyday and run top off for 25 minutes just to make sure everything is legit. That being said Ive always used these mineral blocks from my LFS to keep my calcium/alk in check and well It still fluctuates way more than i want it to. Ive considered calcium reactors and just a drip system total water volume is 140 gallons. sysytem has been running for around 5 years but growth has always been so slow its pathetic and for some reason Ive killed every single SPS coral ive ever purchased lps. softies and fish usually just kinda slowly grow. everything seems to be healthy but mysteriously seemingly over the course of a week all SPS corals always seems to RTN or STN. I love this hobby and am looking for positive/ negative critism whichever helps the most. I plan on doing a param check in the afternoon tomorrow and posting with a few pics of the setup thanks for all comments and help!..

sorry for the long runon as well... LOL :bounce1:

The easiest way to get going with a reasonable dosing system is a 2-part like B-Ionic or similar products or DIY versions. This article might help:

i dont think a two part would quite suffice given the total water value I evaporate way to much that would be very expensive IM thinking somewhat of a limewater version with around a 10 gallon tank that i can drip into my tank what do u guys think??

Well, the dosing rate of the two-part doesn't depend on evaporation. Topoff water dosing is determined by the evaporation rate. A limewater drip is a fine way to go. It might not be capable of keeping up with calcium demand, though. Limewater is a fairly dilute source of calcium and alkalinity compared to a two-part.

sorry about the double picture posting for some reason my screen glitched and i ended up adding some multiple times. This is how i ended up figuring everything out small 10 gallon tank on top of my lighting with a slow drip controlled by a few knots in the line lol it works very well and ive got the drip set just right. With a lil luck this drip system will work also i added a couple tank shots for some critism thanks for looking all :)

use th two part to get your levels in check then use the limewater to maintain the levels .02 :frog:
