Alkalinity, PH?

Hi Guys,

I have never tested my tank for ALkalinity, it is a fairly new tank (14 G Biocube) other tests seems ok Calcium around 460. as for PH I think it is around 8.1 or 8.2. So how can I test it for Alkalinity first and then how can raise the PH?

Don't go chasing PH around.This is a big time rookie mistake and can lead to disaster.
Your best bet is to just test the alk and let the PH follow.
With such a small tank you'll be best off just doing water changes instead of dosing anything.

yep i agree with bob, and to add to his comments kevin, 8.1-8.2 ph is excellent actually, enjoy it.
