Just picked up these dendros today. Ive always thought they were a neat coral but was scared to death to try them out due to pricing and being unsure of myself. These guys are pretty small but for the price I couldnt turn them down. They opened right up after lights out and they got a little taste of spirulina enriched brine right after this shot(with flash)

Just thought that I would share.

Congrats Ryan

Keep up with the feedings, and the coenosarc (tissue that covers coralites and coenosteum) will begin to regrow where it's receeded.

If you have trouble feeding (which you shouldn't since the polyps are already opening) see here for more info: http://www.reefcentral.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1719839

sorry if i hijacked this thread but i have a question about these corals.
I've got one in my tank and as i tried to move it i broke off a section of the tubes. I brought them to my other tank and mounted them in a nice shaded spot.
My question is, do you think they'll grow like a frag or are they damaged from the break?

They'll grow as if you had fragged them, no worries. They're a very hardy coral assuming you feed them well. If they refuse to open, see the above link and follow the "tupperware" method.
