Is this normal...if I cycle the power on the EB8 (unplug it) the clock resets to March of 2052. All other parameters remain unchanged. Just the clock. Running 8J09 firmware.

I have not personally experienced this.

How long had the Apex been plugged in before the power cycled?

I've just found that there is a small internal battery to keep the clock running which takes a number of days to charge so if this was a new unit and hadn't been connected for a couple days so the battey can charge it is possible that there was insufficient charge to run the clock and it would reset as you mention. The other settings, program, logs, calibration, etc are all stored in flash which is unaffected

You got it. From Curt...

I suspect that the internal rechargeable battery is dead. It may take several days for the battery to charge up enough to keep the clock running during a power failure.

I'll test it again later this weekend. It's actually been plugged in (just not programmed) since Monday so it may be the battery is shot. We'll see.
