Chalice Care

Recently picked up a chalice and my LFS said just do what I for my fungia.

Somehow, I dont trust my LFS(wait, who does?). What should I do to maintain a happy, healthy, and above all! fast growing chalice!

I do feed it brine shrimp like my other LPS corals. Eat mouth usually gets at least one shrimp if not two

I have mine about 18" under 250w 20k,growing great.

I have a Tyree Blue and it's hanging out about 10" deep under a 250w MH. I have a spider reflector and the chalice is off to the side, so it's not 100% of the light

So lower in the MH, anything else?

this is a general rule, but be sure to acclimate slowly. I went from a 175 to a 250 so I backed my light cycle back to 4 hours. I bring it up an hour a week and will eventually be back to 10hrs. Better safe than sorry. I haven't noticed any negative effects and I'm 2 weeks into it.

Thats good to know...in the next few weeks Ill be switching from T5 to MH so I will definitely do that.
