Greetings,
anyone using Taam Seio P530 powerhead ? Is it silent, reliable ?

Yes. When running, yes & yes.
If you have power failures often, when the powerhead kicks back on it's a tad noisy for about 2 seconds until water starts flowing through it. I have a battery backup for power failures, and when the power went out, there was a slight noise when the unit restarts.
Otherwise, a nice unit. The strongest magnet I've ever held in my hands, BTW. For the price, hard to object.

I think they suck. Two of mine broke after about 1 year's use and replacement parts are hard to come by.

I'd be happy with 1 years use out of it, for $35.
That's $.00039 an hour. Not bad.
I only bought it, because it's smaller than the Koralia, has more output, and buys me time to purchase the proper powerheads. :)
Thank you guys,
Has anyone heard about this powerhead being used with a wavemaker ?
cheers,

Nope - Seio pumps don't work well on traditional wavemakers. I think Taam makes one specifically for them - sorta like the Krapalia.
I'm using the 530 in my sump and can't complain. I've also used the standard 620, 820 & 1100's with excellent results. I like 'em.

The exepensive Tunze works well on a wavemaker. As do Vortech's, which include their own wavemaker.

I'm using one of the larger models, the SEIO 2600, on the SEIO electronic controller. The controller is designed to be used with the 1100, 1500, & 2600 models; I'm not sure it would work with other SEIO pumps. The 2600 moves a heck of lot of water. It also seems to work pretty well the with 120V (not the DC version) of the Hydor Koralia pumps - been using with them for a few years now.
Another option would be the Polario 22ML turbine pump (or the smaller 15 if you prefer), and it comes with its own controller.
Cheers,
Ray
