I installed Windows 7 today and am trying to figure out how to get your gadget to work. I got the newer one, extracted and tried it in the sidebar folder for both program files and program files (x86). Other gadget folders are there and work. The Apex gadget doesn't show up in the list when I go to add it.

What am i missing?

You need to rename the download file to .gadget (extention) and then it will install correctly.

Thanks! That got it installed, but it doesn't look quite right. There is an "A" if front of the off or on and I dont have the color indicators. How do i fix this? I'm running an ACIII with 3.4.

I think the "A" is indicating that the outlet is set to AUTO and the next two characters tell you whether it is off or on.

I think the "A" is indicating that the outlet is set to AUTO and the next two characters tell you whether it is off or on.

Correct "A" indicated "Automatic" mode so you will see ON/OFF (manual on/off) and AON/AOF (auto on/off). I guess I could have done better and mapped them but I was hurried to get a compatible version for the Apex and new AC3 firmware and have been busy with the web app for the Apex and AC3 and haven't gone back through the gadget for some time.

I figured the A might be auto. What about the color? The website shows off is red. If I set manual off it is red. AOF is blue and OFF is red. The red vs blue is easier to notice as change.

Yea, I think that is a bug.

Ken - Just wanted to say thanks for the AC3 Gadget. Downloaded the vista Gadget (1st option i believe) for AC3's with versions prior to 3.4 as my AC3 version is 3.30. It seems to be running just fine on our new laptop W Windows 7....
