I currently have a 40 breeder with about 60gal total system volume. There is about 60lbs of live rock and a 3-4" sandbed. The tank is well established and been running for years. Tankmates currently include 2 gsm's in a gbta, a ywg, lawnmower blenny, and a fairy wrasse. I was thinking about adding one or two more small fish. Candidates for now include: Flamehawk, cardinal, royal gramma, chalk bass, jawfish. Any insight would be appreciated as I have never kept any of the above mentioned. Thanks in advance.

Flamehawks are always one of my favorite's to add in a reef. They are really hardy too. You can also consider a longnose... they look just as cool!

i like all the fish you picked. I would pick something that stays in the water column, so no hawkfish or jawfish. Personally i would pick either the chalk bass, royal gramma(not really in the water column but not on the substrate either) or an orange lined cardinal. I dont know if your into them but flasher wrasses are nice and colourful.
