What is the possibility of reusing the water collected by a dehumidifier. My aquarium is in a closet and evaporates about 5G a day. The dehumidifier is collecting about 3G a day. It would be nice if I could save and reuse the water.

I wouldn't risk it. The biggest concern that I have is metals dissolving a bit from the metal cooling coil. I send my dehumidifier water down the drain.

Yes, risky. I had contemplated a similar idea of using the water from a 3 in 1 air conditioning, heater, dehumidifier unit. Purchased a copper test kit and the water had a very high level of copper. There are some units that no longer use copper in their compressor systems, but again, not really worth the risk.

I dont see why you cant use it for watering any plants that you may have. I collect the Waste water from my RO/DI unit & my wife uses it for her plants.

Oh Ya........use it in your washing machine. This will help to keep down the tap water when doing the laundry
