Could a very powerful skimmer raise ORP above 450 ?

I have stooped dosing Ozone a month ago. My ORP was in the 350s to 400s now reads 600, I tried calibrating the meter but it may also be a probe issue.
With all that said, my question still is could a powerfull skimmer raise ORP above 450mv ?

Unlikely, but perhaps possible.

What do you mean you tried to calibrate it?

My probe is gone :)

Yes, ORP probes only last between 18 to 24 months on the average. If you stuck it in 400 mv standard solution, it probably was way off. That's when you know the probe needs replacing. :) You can not calibrate an ORP probe.

Here's a nice ORP chart made by Konadog showing the effect of a new, more powerful skimmer (the large drop in March 1st is when he installed it):

So a powerful protein skimmer will help with the ORP. My protein skimmer consider pretty good size and somewhat powerful but my ORP stay at 350. What do you consider powerful protein skimmer?

Nothing wrong with 350 mV. :)

So to try to answer the YF's question. I don't know that a skimmer can raise ORP above 450. However, the lack of oxygen in a tank can decrease ORP. So I would think that since a skimmer oxygenates the water it can promote the increase in ORP.

Nothing is wrong with the 350mV sir :D... I try to keep mine between 380-400mV
