I just prchased a Precision Marine Refugium. It is 24' long with a 11" by 13" refugium area with 6" of water. I am torn:
1. Do I go with a DSB and macro algae combination
2. Just Macro Algae and skip the DSB due to small space

The tank is a fish and anemone tank with live rock that I am considering going full reef.

Is a 4" sand bed and 2" for macro algae enough water area and depth or do I need to go with a 3" DSP and lose some of the benefits.
Lastly is this refugium too small to have both a DSB and macro algae filter?

Thanks in advance,
