Many times it is due to injury and will clear up on its own. I believe it can also be due to an infection. I would keep an eye on it. If it's an injury it should slowly shrink down within a few days to a week.

You have to quaritine in a tank that is above 83degrees for a week or maybe a couple days longer to cure. I had a male Pictilis Anthia and I did alot of reasearch on google til I finally found that answer and its the only thing that would save my $140 fish

Popeye is usually caused by a bacterial infection. Moving fish to a treatment tank allows more options, like the use of antibiotics. Melafix can be successful against eye infections, but I have no idea on it's reef effects. You do not want to raise the water's temperature when dealing with bacteria, since that will accelerate their metabolism and they will reproduce faster.

It's not so much the coral you want to worry about as it's all the beneficial bacteria on your rocks and inverts you dont want to kill by dosing in your display tank.
