Dipping rock for fw removal?

Has any one dipped there rock to remove flatworms? I have a bad case of it. And was wondering if I would have a bad nitrate spike? And would putting new sand affect it?

My friend used flatworm exit-- it removed all the flatworms from her tank. I have heard that flatworm exit does not always work. There was an article on RC a while back about a wrasse that consumes the flatworms...

There are also other wrasses that eat flatworms.

I dipped a large frag that was covered, the polyps all died! maybe I left it in too long!
