hey kram...beautiful tank. however, it would look better if you'd scrape the back glass and get the coralline off. right now, you can barely see your corals because they blen in w/ the algae. you scrub it off, and you'll be able to see the corals and not the algae, which is all i see.

i had my 180g covered in the algae. there was a thread on here about people who had scraped the back glass and i could see what a huge difference it made! you have a beautiful tank, but all i see is the algae ;)

beautiful nonetheless though :)

I personally like the look of coralline growth in the back of the tank. I think it adds a mature and developed feel. Awesome tank kramgnik!

sorry kram, even though my opinion still hasn't changed, you didn't ask for it. it's your tank and whatever makes you happy, is all that matters.

sincerest apologies

Well, this was just posted in a nother thread last week, but here it is again!

I used to leave the alge to grow on the back of the tank. I don't mind it at all, but I had just scraped it all off a few hours before this pic was taken. I hosted my reef club at my house this weekend, and we had a pro photographer come in to teach us some stuff about taking pics of our fish and corals, so I had to have the tank all pretty for the pics !

You did a great job in scraping off all that algae!! The black glass background really makes your corals pop! Great as always

Wow, now i'm officially impressed !

The only things that I moved was my two torch corals, and my candycanes.

My massive torch that used to reside at the top left of my tank has been moved to a frag tank, as it started to recede a bit. I discovered white flatworms on it, did an iodine dip, and that seems to have gotten rid of the flatworms....but now there is something else living on it. (teeny tiny whit things, not flat worms...) but at least it has stopped receding.

So the purple torch that was in the right side of my tank has got a new home where the other resided.

I stole a small rock from my BF's tank and put it where the purple torch was, and moved the candy canes to that location.
