It is an anthelia not xenia, xenia comes in stalks.

At first I thought they were aptaisia but after looking at the link, it is possible that they are yellow xenia. They just shrunk and need to get used to the new condition?

Yea most xenia grows in stalks, but not that type :). To quote Corals a quick reference guide by Julian Sprung "there are encrusting xenia spp. without an obvious stalk."

Also I've only heard rumors of pulsing anthelia, I've never seen it first or even second hand.
