So I got a couple of "slugs" and a little crab from my live rock. Anyone know what species those are and whether they're reef safe?

+1 on the emerald crab
The slugs are stomatella snails. That little finger nail looking thing is actually its shell. Reef safe and great for algae. They will multiply though

thanks! Crab goes in the tank. I'll think about the slugs, meanwhile, they're confined to the bucket!

local fish store. The main display tank broke down several weeks ago and they ended up putting the rocks in the back store. I got some crazy rocks for 11/lbs! He did inspect the rocks, but I guess he missed that. One of the rocks I got is literally hollow. Many things will be able to hide in there!
