I got a maxima clam yesterday from RAP. I currently have it siting on a square frag plug in the sandbed. It hasn't attached yet and tonight it either got knocked over or it knocked itself over, until then it was fine. I'm wondering would it be a good idea to put 2 more frag plugs on either side propped like the pic below to keep it up?
Any other suggestions until it plants its foot. Think its happy where it is just got pulled over by a hermit cleaning its shell... thanks, dave

put it in the rocks. it will attach much faster to the rougher surface

i worry about it falling off the rock, though...

they'll usually do what they wanna. maybe the issue is flow or lighting. bury the rock 1/2 inch in the sand, place max right above rock and squiggle him down, just a bit. if he's healthy, he should grab on in a day or so.
