I want to get a shrimp gobie and pistol shrimp for my new tank, 135gal w/55gal sump, and was looking for suggestions on which gobie I should get. I am still setting up so I don't have any critters yet and want to be selective when getting my fish. Also, I would like to see pics of yours!!

I have had 2 yellownose and a yasha hase over the past year and they were all harassed into jumping from a closed top tank by my ocelaris clown and bi-color blenny. All 3 were pretty small. I now have a large pink spot goby and nobody messes with him. (well the bi-color blenny did until last night http://reefcentral.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1731465 )
Here's a pick of the first yellownose with his tiger pistol:

That is so cool. Is the pink spot hanging with shrimp now?

Yeah, he found the pistol right away, they are in my 29g so the pistol has tunnels from end to end. The other thing I've noticed is that with the larger goby the pistol doesn't snap nearly as much. The tank is in the bedroom and the pistol used to snap incessantly in the middle of the night until the pinkspot was added.

So they don't dig a hole and make it their permanent home, I didn't know that. I thought they set up shop and stayed there.

Nope, they will move around and are constantly changing/improving their tunnels. I highly recommend getting a lot of small rubbble and shells for it to use as building materials, they are quite the structural engineers. Oh, and sheets of coraline algea that have been chipped off the glass/over flows and broken into 1"-2" sections are apparently great as ceiling material!
