snail explosion

I've been seeing a couple here and there for the last week but last night there must have been about 20 on the glass and 30 on the rocks. Little white snails with red markings on the shell. I've got lots of the small white ones that I have to scrape off the glass but these guys are crawling all over the place. Could they be collanista?

No I sure don't, my camera wouldn't pick them up. Like I said they're white with red dots, a little smaller than a bb with 2 tentecles. Is it collista (sp?).

i have them too. hundreds of them. they only come out at night. i never had a problem with them. i dont know what type they are.

No, they are not blowing up, just multiplying. Just read an article in reefkeeping mag, pretty sure they collonista, harmless grazers. Also it said you can have a population explosion with increased calcium. I've been dripping alot more kalk trying to beat some dinos.
