Whether they are custom built for your tank or if you bought a nice piece from a furniture store, let's see some NICE stuff that's NOT sold at fish stores! I'm posting this in the Nano section because I want some unique ideas for a small tanks!

Here is what I got, I made it this week. It is a 15x15x30 cherry cabinet, I cut a 18x18 piece of plywood mounted it to the top of the cabinet, then glued a nice 18x18 ceramic tile for the top. Then finshed it with some black trim. It came out good and cost me like 120 in supplies.

Here's what I did for my daughters little FW tank in her bedroom. I install flooring/remodel houses for a living, so I used some extra Hickory wood flooring that I had at the shop for this little project.(Sorry for the phone pic, the digital was tweaked at the time)

Hello all,
I am planning a future nano tank thread. Since this thread came up I will join in and show you what I have done so far. The tank carcass is make of 9 ply okume plywood with a type II water resistant glue line. It is laminated with plastic laminate .028" liner and backer material. The frame and top are made of solid maple. The two tone side panels and door that you see are 3/4" MDF with three coats of paint applied to them. The door edges have a .5mm veneer applied for protection. The base sits 18" wide by 17" deep by 42" tall. I plan on making my own light fixture and light tree. I have not figured out exactly what I want to do as I have too many ideas in mind on the fixture and tree. Let me know what you think.

I am not finished as I have to apply 2 coats of black paint to the bare solid maple wood frame and top that you see. Thanks.
Dwain.

I built this stand for my 15x15x15 cube. Red Mahogany - black granite top - 45" tall. Can't really tell from the pictures, but it's a corner cabinet.

This is a tank I do not currently have anymore, but this is a Stand Facade that my dad and i made about 1.5 years ago for my NC24G. I was tired of seeing all the wires on the side of the tank and wanted to find a way to hide them. So a fake stand is what i came up with.

Before

After

Just pull it away fromthe tank if needed...

KMP,
Are those spigots at the bottom of you sump to drain it? Pretty slick idea.

Here is a stand that I bought from a raw wood furniture shop. The dimensions fit my 24gal aquapod perfectly.

When I decided to upgrade to a 34gal solana I needed more width on the top platform. I decided to use piece of granite to dress it up a bit. It was also painted with a weathered blue finish.

Sawdustintankc - yes, the spigots were installed to make water changes a little easier.
