Will the larger shroud work on the 6065, the standard shroud is 50m as the larger one has a 63mm outlet.
I would like to have a wider flow that would benefit my corals, as it is now I can not get the 6065 to “work” in my tank.
My tank seems to short for this stream, it just blasts of sand any way I direct it.
(Nearly cube shaped 120gallon sps tank.)
Otherwise the pump seems impressively powerful and fairly quiet.

It won't work, the 6205 shroud will fit, but the propeller won't be stopped if it spins backwards, the shroud is too big to hit the propeller. Have you tried placing the pump low in the tank and aiming it upward to the diagonal corner?

Yes I have used that configuration when I started the tank, however whit my current aquascape it will not work.

If I understand correctly the problem whit the direction of flow will arise if there is a power outage?
Otherwise it will flow in the right direction if I get it to start that way?
If it doesn’t work I guess I need to re-think my pump setup, any suggestions?

Thank you, for your time…

That is correct but it could take many times of turning it off and on to get it to start correct. 2 6105 or 2 6055 so you can control the flow with the electronics would be the best solution.

Ok, I have currently 2x6025, 2x6055(older versions), and the 6065.
Have you improved the performance of the new 6055(are they quiet).
I have a GHL system but my local government does not allow me to control the pumps due to noise issues.
If the new ones are quiet I might add 2 of them and replace the older ones.

Yes, if you get the 6055.700 and 6025.740 for your old 6055 they should also be much more quiet. The 6055 should never be so loud that laws restrict its use, so if it is, something is wrong and I would contact the factory for service.

Hehe, “local government” is a metaphor for my spouse ;)
The pumps are from gen1 as far as I know so perhaps it is time to upgrade.
I shall try to replace the old 6055 pumps anyway...
Can I just get new motorblocks and dive units for the old ones?

Yes, but please contact the factory, at the minimum you should get a good discount, probably if you send them in, they can upgrade them to the new specification for free or almost free.
